Common questions
How do you play?
Help the princess walk through the maze to her crown. Tap any spot on the path and she walks there by herself, or use the big arrow buttons, or swipe. Watch out for the dragon: if it catches her, she loses a heart and hops back to a safe spot. Finding the crown unlocks the next maze.
What are helpers?
Before each maze you can bring a helper. The unicorn chases the dragon away (and can be ridden), the fairy puts it to sleep, the owl shows the way to the crown, the bunny hops over walls, the kitten sneaks past the dragon and the turtle's shell blocks one puff. The unicorn comes along for free once a day; the Royal Pass, a one-time purchase, brings every helper any time. There are no ads.
Why is the unicorn asleep?
Without the Royal Pass, the unicorn can come along once a day. Once it has helped, it sleeps until midnight (your local time) and wakes up for tomorrow's adventure. If the dragon catches the princess and you tap TRY AGAIN, the unicorn comes back for that same maze. The other helpers show a padlock, and tapping them only says "ask a grown-up": your child never sees a price or a store.
What are the stars?
Finding the crown earns one star for every heart the princess still has, so up to three per maze. Each maze keeps its best result, shown on the maze cards. Helpers never cost stars.
Why is there a maths question?
That's the grown-up gate. Purchases, settings and links out of the game are behind a quick multiplication question so little ones can't buy anything, change settings or leave the game by accident.
I bought the Royal Pass. How do I restore it on a new device?
Sign in with the same Apple Account you used to buy it. Then on the title screen tapFor grown-ups, answer the question, and in the Royal Pass box tapRestore purchases.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are too. You can request one atreportaproblem.apple.com. If something went wrong with your purchase, email us as well and we'll help.
How do I turn off the sound or the reading voice?
On the title screen tap For grown-ups, answer the question, then switchSound or Read aloud off.
How do I start the mazes over?
Tap For grown-ups on the title screen, answer the question and chooseReset maze progress. All mazes except the first one lock again and the stars are cleared. Your Royal Pass and dress-up choices are kept.
It's a bit too hard for my child. Any tips?
Bring the unicorn (free once a day): it chases the dragon away, so the maze becomes a calm walk, and she can ride it. With the Royal Pass, the fairy puts the dragon to sleep, the owl draws arrows all the way to the crown for children who get lost, and the turtle's shell saves a heart. And there's no rush: the dragon only paces its hallway, so waiting a moment always opens the way.
